Operations Manager

HOBAN are in partnership with a highly reputable 3PL Warehouse & Logistics company based in Erskine Park who are currently seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to work in the NSW Distribution/Transport team. Shift Time: 7am-4pm Job Summary: As an Operations Supervisor in the Distribution unit, you play a crucial role in managing the flow of goods from warehouse to final destination. Your main responsibilities include ensuring customer satisfaction, overseeing carrier performance, and implementing efficiency improvements through technology. Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with health and safety policies.
Promote a safety-first culture and report hazards promptly.
Ensure timely and complete pickups and deliveries.
Proactively communicate with customers about delays.
Optimize routes and shipment milestones using live data.
Lead and support a small team.
Monitor compliance of drivers and carriers with safety standards.
Provide superior and consistent last-mile distribution services.
Be responsive to customer queries and ensure prompt issue resolution.
Identify and implement efficiencies in distribution services.
Champion the transport management system and explore process automation.
Become the system champion for transport management and control tower platforms.
Consider automation to enhance operational efficiency.
Tertiary qualifications in logistics preferred.
Minimum 1 year of experience in transport/fleet management.
Knowledge of 3PL, 4PL, Linehaul, PUD, and Taxi trucks.
Accountability, Communication, Leadership, Teamwork, Customer Focus, Decision Making.
About You:
Tertiary or other qualifications in logistics, supply chain management favourable
Minimum 1 years' experience in transport / fleet management
Experience and knowledge of 3PL, 4PL, Linehaul (FTL and LTL), PUD and Taxi trucks.
Able to influence and gain co-operation from staff & contractors at all levels
Strong commitment and understanding of WHS&E regulations & COR legislation including mass, dimension, fatigue management, load restraint and dangerous goods
