Operations Manager

As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our organization and ensuring the seamless execution of operational processes to meet and exceed customer demands.

Overall, Purpose of the Job: 

As the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production and efficient order fulfillment, directly reporting to the CEO. Your strategic insights and operational expertise will drive transformative change, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the CEO to shape the strategic direction of KI and drive transformative change. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and evaluate market trends for implementation opportunities.
• Execution of Strategic Vision: Oversee end-to-end operations management, lead production teams, and establish asset maintenance and investment plans aligned with strategic goals.
• Financial Oversight: Develop and monitor budgets, control operational expenditures, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
• Resource and Performance Management: Provide leadership and support for staff selection, training, and professional development. Manage the Operational Performance and Productivity (OPP) team to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• OH&S Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with OHS policies, implement emergency preparedness measures, and conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain a safe work environment.

General Responsibilities: 

• Comply with organisational policies including safe working practices and Equal Employment Opportunities. 
• Participate in service quality and workplace improvement activities. 
• Safeguard confidential information concerning the organisation, staff, and customers.

Required Skills and Capabilities: 

• Technical understanding of manufacturing operations, particularly in kitchen manufacturing and installation. 
• Operational improvement skills such as lean six sigma are desirable. 
• Strong leadership abilities with a focus on building relationships and collaborative decision-making.

Key Performance Indicators: 

Your performance will be measured based on your accountability for sourcing, manufacturing, delivery, and installation of kitchens, aligned with the strategic plan and objectives of KI.
