Operations Manager - Transport & Logistics
Location: Horsham, VIC
Salary: $120,000 + super

About the Role:
As the Operations Manager, you will lead operations, providing strategic direction and overseeing systems, finance, and safety. This role offers flexible working hours and occasional work from home options.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a strategic plan to support the organizational vision.
• Manage systems, finance, and safety, including regular P&L responsibilities.
• Identify and drive strategic new business opportunities and growth.
• Ensure staff are trained and developed to meet business needs.
• Monitor compliance with policies, procedures, and legislation.
• Investigate and develop new business opportunities and growth strategies.
• Allocate resources efficiently, including equipment, facilities, and staff.
• Implement programs to develop staff knowledge and skills.
• Deliver services to achieve budget and business plan forecasts.
• Monitor equipment and facilities for efficient operation.

Experience Necessary:Essential

• Strong leadership qualities with a proven track record.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Minimum 5 years of senior management experience in transport & logistics.
• Ability to foster teamwork and achieve shared outcomes.
• Experience in transport-related industries.
• Proficient in cost analysis and financial planning.
• Expertise in change management.
• Strong experience in Chain of Responsibility compliance strategies.

Desirable

• Experience in EBA negotiations.
• Understanding of Performance Management practices.
• Knowledge of Federal and State Workplace legislations.
