About the Role:
As the Operations Manager, you will lead operations, providing strategic direction and overseeing systems, finance, and safety. This role offers flexible working hours and occasional work from home options.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic plan to support the organizational vision.
- Manage systems, finance, and safety, including regular P&L responsibilities.
- Identify and drive strategic new business opportunities and growth.
- Ensure staff are trained and developed to meet business needs.
- Monitor compliance with policies, procedures, and legislation.
- Investigate and develop new business opportunities and growth strategies.
- Allocate resources efficiently, including equipment, facilities, and staff.
- Implement programs to develop staff knowledge and skills.
- Deliver services to achieve budget and business plan forecasts.
- Monitor equipment and facilities for efficient operation.
Experience Necessary:Essential
- Strong leadership qualities with a proven track record.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum 5 years of senior management experience in transport & logistics.
- Ability to foster teamwork and achieve shared outcomes.
- Experience in transport-related industries.
- Proficient in cost analysis and financial planning.
- Expertise in change management.
- Strong experience in Chain of Responsibility compliance strategies.
Desirable
- Experience in EBA negotiations.
- Understanding of Performance Management practices.
- Knowledge of Federal and State Workplace legislations.
