Service Today offers premium quality Plumbing, Electrical, Heating & Cooling services that target residential areas of Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane.
We are currently looking for an experienced Operations Manager who is confident and able to manage a strong established team. This position will be held within our NSW head office location in Revesby.
The ideal candidate is someone who will be responsible for the day-to-day operations within the company by assuring the right resources are in place to conduct our service calls for our customers and monitor the number of technicians that are required to work on a daily basis. It is essential for this individual to promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale for the team. This position will be responsible to maintain and achieve gross profit goals for the state by assuring cost of sales expectations that have been set each month will be obtained.
What you will be responsible for…
- Developing processes and procedures to improve the business
- Assist leading and mentoring the Service Today management team
- Overlook financial reporting to find trends and analyse overall business performance
- Commercial oversight to ensure business performance is predictable and delivers dependable results
- Building and maintain strong relationships within the company
- Assist recruitment process by interviewing, inducting and training of staff to ensure that staff retention is maintained
- Liaise with Customers, Technicians, Dispatchers and other various departments across the company
- Conduct regular Toolbox meetings with team to discuss current training practices, issues, concerns and updates etc
To be successful you will have…
- At least 3 years experience in an Operations Manager
- Relevant trade knowledge within the Construction Industry (Plumbing, Electrical or HVAC) preferred but not essential
- Proven leadership skills and management of multi-disciplined teams
- Strong personal and professional judgment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills
