P&C Operations Officer
Working under the P&C Operations Manager and P&C Executive, we are currently seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated and organised person to assist and support the Operations Manager in the running of the P&C Business Units.

About the P&C Association:
Jinibara State School P&C Association exists to promote the interests of the school in order to achieve the best educational outcomes for all children and to facilitate the development and improvement of the school. The key objectives of the Jinibara State School P&C Association are as follows:
- Foster a sense of community within the school;
- Promote interests in the educational experiences of the children;
- Assist in the giving of financial or other resources or services for the benefit of persons who receive educational instruction at the school.
About the position:
Role Duties:
- Operational Administration:
- Manage the effective and efficient operation of the Tuckshop, OSHC, and Student Supplies.
- Ensure high standards of management and administration are maintained
- Seek authorization for expenditure in accordance with the budget, following committee approvals for significant expenditures.
- Strategic Planning and Business Development:
- Assist in business development by exploring avenues to increase P&C revenue.
- Prepare and document proposals for revenue growth and report to the P&C association.
- Community Engagement and Staff Management:
- Assist in advertising staff vacancies, organizing interviews, and participating in the interviewing panel.
- Counsel staff on compliance with work patterns, behavior, and standards.
- Foster and encourage volunteer participation within the school community, providing instructions and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
- Assist with the organisation and running of events for both fundraising and engagement goals at the directive of the P&C
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Maintain regular communication with various committees, fostering good relationships with voluntary workers. -
Work closely with the P&C Treasurer and ensure cooperation with the school for program changes affecting P&C activities.

Selection Criteria
- High level communication skills, both verbal and written including the ability to engage, consult, advise, manage conflict and negotiate successfully to achieve high quality services and a strong team culture.
- Ability to manage change in a complex environment.
- Able to think strategically, be dynamic and responsive to changing needs.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise work in order to meet deadlines.
- Passion for ensuring quality services are delivered and that contractual requirements and key performance indicators are achieved
- Proven record of achieving targets and outcomes.
- Strong human resource management skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of compliance, legislative, regulatory and risk requirements relevant to P&C Association businesses and services.
- Experience using MYOB, is desirable but not essential
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Formal qualifications are not essential, however post-secondary qualifications in Accounting, Business Management and/or Human Resources would be highly regarded.
- A current Blue card - or willingness to obtain one.
