About the Role:
Reporting to the Heavy Haulage Supervisor, this position plays a crucial role in the successful coordination of specialised freight requirements in our Resources division. The role is 3 days per week (Friday compulsory).
On-the-Job training is available for the successful candidate.
In this role, the responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Monitoring email job status updates from vendors/clients
- Secure and update freight booking requests in third-party and company systems
- Liaising with vendors/clients to provide updates on deliveries and pickups
- Entering data, processing client orders and updating all jobs
- Performing freight movement inquiries
- Collation of operational reports
- Provide efficient and accurate clerical support where applicable
- Administration duties involving answering phones, scanning job sheets, data entry
- Adhoc duties as required.
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- High attention to detail
- Experience using on-line freight booking systems (desirable)
- Transport & Logistics experience (desirable)
- SAP experience (desirable)
