Operations Team Manager
GeelongPort is seeking an experienced and hands on Operations Team Manager. The successful candidate should be able to ‘think outside the square’ to provide a safe, high quality and effective customer service to GeelongPort customers.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the GM Operations you will be responsible for the leadership and performance of the Operations Team. The Operations team is responsible in the Service Delivery to all GeelongPort Customers.
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
Effectively lead, manage and develop our teams to achieve individual and organisational goals.
Resource Planning and Coordination.
Ensure work allocation meets customer service delivery requirements.
Champion Heath, Safety, Environment and Quality outcomes by aligning day to day behaviours with the effective implementation of improvement programs.
Consistently deliver services that meet the expectations of our customers.
Support the delivery of GeelongPort’s financial objectives including the management of revenue and operating expenses.
Identify and make recommendations to improve safety, efficiency, performance and culture as they relate to both resource planning and general operations matters.
About You
You will be a highly regarded professional and with proven leadership experience in service driven environment with at least 5 years’ experience in the manufacturing, mining, utilities or similar environment.
You will have exceptional communication skills and must be able to lead, guide and influence teams and actions taken which achieve financial sustainability and the highest standards of work for GeelongPort.
Other key skills and experience include:
Leading and management of successful teams.
Demonstrated experience in delivery of customer service.
Strong business acumen along with highly developed organisational and analytical skills and a proven ability to multitask, prioritise and meet deadlines.
Organisational change management.
Growth mindset.
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Ability to develop relationships, trust and rapport with a range of stakeholders at all levels.
