Spoke to a Bloke is a charity focussed on supporting Men's Mental Health. We started the charity after loosing our brother and best mate to suicide. We run a number of events including WALK FOR A BLOKE which this year saw 900+ blokes walking on one day across 7 locations to raise funds, drive awareness and connect. Our projects include the 121 PROJECT which delivers direct professional help via our network of specialist psychologists, for blokes that need financial assistance.
There are five co-founders, we all volunteer our time however we now need an Operations/Project Manager to help us handle the increased work load and to grow so we can hit our goals and help as many blokes as possible.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a broad role requiring an individual with skills and experience covering communication with clients, end to end organisation of events, managing software platforms, contracts management etc. It requires a hands-on, highly organised individual with a track record of delivering multiple concurrent projects and all aspects relating to planning, reporting and projects costing.
- This is a Permanent Part-Time role which will work very well for a parent wanting to work primarily within school hours and needs flexibility. 5 hours a day, 25 hours a week.
- Work from home and attend 1-2 meetings per month so important you are ideally located on the Northern Beaches or within a short drive.
- Take ownership over our events, through planning and execution.
- Handle all inbound enquiries and set meetings for co-founders to attend
- Manage all software platforms implement new platforms as needed
- Take ownership over projects and bring together the various individuals to deliver
- Ensure all legal obligations are met including insurances, council approvals, contracts with venues
- Bring on new walk locations for 2025
- Work with the Spoke to a Bloke co-founders in the planning and execution of adhoc events.
ABOUT YOU
- A passion for supporting men's mental health
- Demonstrated project/events management experience
- Experience in working with/organising teams
- Experience with contracts administration
- Must be comfortable and experienced in using software platforms
- Extremely strong communication skills and a can do attitude
- Attention to detail
- Personable and not afraid to pick up the phone and engage clients, team, suppliers etc
- Positive, solutions orientated, push for results
- Develop collateral / processes to ensure all walk teams / locations are supported and highly organised resulting in a successful event
