We are looking for an experienced and motivated ORM Change Manager to join our Group Audit and Risk team on a 12-month contract basis, with potential extension or permanency. You will be responsible for developing and executing change management strategies and plans for the ORM framework and related projects, in alignment with the organizational vision and objectives. You will also play a crucial role in engaging and collaborating with key stakeholders across the business units, communicating effectively and proactively about the change objectives, benefits, impacts, and progress, designing and delivering training and development programs, assessing and analyzing the change impacts and risks, measuring and evaluating the change outcomes and performance, and documenting and sharing the lessons learned and best practices.
The role is located at Alexandria, NSW and is of hybrid nature.
Key Responsibilities As the ORM Change Manager, you will:
- Develop and execute change management strategies and plans for the ORM framework and related projects, in alignment with the organizational vision and objectives.
- Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders across the business units, including senior leaders, risk and assurance practitioners, operational workforce, and external partners, to ensure their involvement, support, and feedback throughout the change process.
- Communicate effectively and proactively with stakeholders about the change objectives, benefits, impacts, and progress, using various channels and methods.
- Design and deliver training and development programs to enhance the knowledge, skills, and capabilities of the stakeholders in relation to the ORM framework and practices.
- Assess and analyze the change impacts and risks, and develop and implement mitigation and contingency plans to address them.
- Measure and evaluate the change outcomes and performance, using appropriate tools and indicators, and report on the results and recommendations for improvement.
- Document and share the lessons learned and best practices from the change initiatives, and foster a culture of openness and resilience to change across the organization.
- A bachelor's degree or higher in business, management, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in change management, preferably in the energy or related industry.
- A solid understanding of the operational risk management framework and principles, and the ability to apply them in a complex and dynamic environment.
- Excellent project management, resource management, and quality assurance skills, and the ability to deliver change initiatives on time, within budget, and with high quality standards.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse groups of people at all levels of the organization.
- A high level of analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, and the ability to identify and address change impacts and risks effectively.
- A positive, proactive, and flexible attitude, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and challenges.
- A strong commitment to safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
- Qualifications: Essential: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field. Desirable: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Experience: Essential: Proven experience in change management, organizational development, or related roles. Desirable: Proven experience in project management, particularly in IT projects. Desirable: Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, JIRA, Microsoft Project).
- Knowledge & Skills: Essential: Strong understanding of change management principles, methodologies, and best practices. Desirable: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others. Desirable: Solid project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor complex change initiatives. Desirable: Proficiency in risk management, problem-solving, and decision-making.
