The Organisation
Take the opportunity to work in a reputable service located in beautiful bayside area in Brighton. The school has great staff, facilities and programs to enhance student learning and as a staff member here you will become an integral part of that. The program provides before and after school care for students from Prep to Year 6.
Your new role
Your responsibilities as the Outside of School Hours Care Director of Service will be to oversee the day to day operation of the service.
You will be in charge of program administration, rostering, supervising and assisting casual staff in running activities and maintaining cleanliness.
Your duties will also include maintaining and updating the service QIP and ensuring you are operating at the highest level of compliance and prepared for Assessment and Rating.
You will use your leadership and rapport building skills to encourage and motivate your team, assisting them with their own professional development and continually form positive relationships with the school, families and children.
Experience and Qualifications:
The successful applicant will have previous experience as an Outside of School Hours Care Director of Service and be able to demonstrate an ability to deliver a safe, caring and engaging program for primary aged children.
A sound working knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, first aid qualifications and a valid Working With Children Check are also required for this position.
Diploma in Children's Services, Bachelor of Education, or relevant Out of School Hours qualification
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis management certs.
Experience in a similar position
2 relevant management referees from an OSHC setting
Previous experience in an OSHC Coordinator position
Excellent knowledge of child protection and legal regulations for the OSHC sector
