What You'll Do:
This exciting, newly created role will take responsibility for the Outbound Contract Logistics at our clients' new logistics site in the Western suburbs of Melbourne.
Please note this role commences at 10am and finishes at 6pm, Monday to Friday.
As the Outbound Team Leader, your main duties will include:
- To use Warehouse Management and Inventory system to complete reconciliations between these systems and physical stock movements.
- To ensure that all data entry relating to the movement of stock is completed accurately and on time.
- To ensure that all documentation is filed as per operational and company requirements.
- To assess workloads within the allocated team + allocate resources adequately on a daily basis.
- To complete duties relating to warehousing activities + attend to direct reports' HR issues such as absence, attendance, sick leave etc.
- To achieve your key performance indicators (KPI) + ensure your teams deliver against their KPI.
- To ensure that all company equipment + assets are handled + operated in a responsible manner at all times.
- To ensure that all team members are compliant with all health + safety policies/processes at all times.
The Outbound Team Leader will also be required to:
- Coordinate trucks and deliveries to B2B and B2C
- Help with stock replenishment, picking orders etc depending on workloads
- Some Forklift Operation as required
About You:
- Previous team-lead experience in a logistics/warehouse environment, ideally 2+ years as a team lead is required
- Previous experience with Inventory Management software such as Blue Yonder would be highly advantageous
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Time management skills will be essential to ensuring proper function of the inbound logistics team
- Forklift Operation as required - LO and LF preferred but not essential
- Safety conscious - ensuring your team are operating in a safe manner and environment
- Previous continuous improvement or project based experience would be advantageous
