A service based in Monbulk is looking for a passionate and organised Assistant Coordinator for children in our before and after school care capacity. This is a permanent part-time position at 27 hours per week all year round - the perfect balance!
Exact hours will be determined, but will be allocated between Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 09:00 AM (Rise then Shine Program) and 01:30 - 06:00 PM (Stay and Play Program) plus 2 additional admin hours.
About the role
Co-managing a team of Educators, you'll have the perfect balance of support and leadership opportunities. You will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years, with the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service.
* Contribute to planning and scheduling alongside the Coordinator
* Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into!
* Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents
* Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management
* Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration

About the Service
This role would see you embedded in a vibrant service based in Monbulk with an excellent relationship with the school, as well as the ELC. They have multiple indoor and outdoor activity spaces with plenty of potential for a variety of creative and sporting activities.

* Confidence in managing both school-aged and kindergarten students
* Strong and clear communication skills
* Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we'll pay for it!) and a state check for working with children
