$71,278.33 Annually  + up to 12% super

Are you a motivated and passionate horticultural professional looking to lead a small team?  We have the role for you!

Redland City Council has an exciting opportunity for a Horticultural Services Team Leader to join the team. This role will see you lead a small sized team of operational staff to deliver efficient, effective and timely horticultural services throughout Council's roadsides and streetscape areas.

Guided by our Values, you will:

  • be responsible for the efficient, effective and timely delivery of horticultural maintenance and construction services in accordance with Council's Service Level Agreements and Standards.
  • lead a small team of day labour staff based on the principles of team work, cooperation and equity to create a harmonious and productive workplace.
  • provide a high level of horticultural technical advice and expertise both within the team and to internal and external customers.
  • ensure compliance with the Workplace Health and Safety Act, Regulation, Standard and Code and Council's Workplace Health and Safety and Environmental Protection requirements
  • pro-actively identify, report and address any safety and environmental issues in the work environment.

Eligibility

  • You'll have a current class LR drivers licence.
  • You'll have a Level 3 Trade Certificate (TAFE) in Horticulture or equivalent.
  • You'll have the ability to participate in the after-hours on-call roster, including remote response and site-related operations over weekends and public holidays on a rostered basis.
