Due to a long term employee leaving our team we are looking for a new Payroll / Administration Officer.
If you have a can do attitude, are quick to learn new systems and processes, have experience in managing end to end payroll we would love to hear from you.
You will be a part of a small supportive admin team. While your main focus is to manage the weekly payroll from timesheet entry to processing the payments you will also be assisting with general office administration / HSE support.
You will be provided training and ongoing support and encouraged to develop in this role. We will value a proactive approach to business improvements and the ability to embrace change and new technologies as our business grows.
Key Responsibilities:
- End to end payroll processing for both office/workshop employees and labour hire workforce
- Processing all new starters and terminations
- Ensure wages and tax withholding comply with relevant legislation and regulations
- Managing payroll queries
- Maintain employee records
- Managing monthly superannuation obligations
- Managing portable leave obligations
- Preparing and submitting quarterly payroll tax
- Assist on general office functions such as processing purchase orders, supplier invoices, credit card reconciliations,
- Processing creditor payments
- Assist with maintaining Health & Safety Systems
Essential requirements:
- Proven experience in payroll with a high attention to detail.
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Good knowledge of labour and taxation legislation
- Ability to find and interpret award information
- Excellent time management skills
- Sybiz Vision and Visipay experience desirable but not essential
Desirable
- Experience in a workshop / labour hire environment
- Knowledge and exposure to Health and Safety Administration Systems
