Payroll Coordinator & Accounts Payable Officer

This is a newly created role aimed at consolidating the Payroll and Accounts Payable roles within the finance structure, which to date has been separate. 

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller and working closely with the HR Manager, the Payroll Coordinator & AP Officer will have internal oversight for the workflow of fortnightly payroll (processing is outsourced), and assist the finance team in the non-payroll weeks primarily with AP support.

Payroll Coordination

• Liaison with the HR Manager, Site Teams and Payroll provider 
• Submission of payroll data to payroll provider
• Checking reports from Payroll provider
• Identifying and correcting anomalies in reports from Payroll provider
• Completion of monthly reports for the Accounting team
• Preparation of payroll creditor payments including monthly payroll tax calculations
• Compiling data for FBT reports
• Processing New Hires & Terminations
• Assistance with preparation of annual payroll tax and WorkCover returns
• Reconciliation of motor vehicle allowance costs

Accounts Payable

• Performing end to end Accounts Payable function for operating businesses and provide support for other companies within the Group as required. 

Accounting Assistance

• Assisting in maintaining accounting and internal control systems and processes, continuously look for improvements in accuracy, timeliness and efficiency
• Assisting with the administration of the finance system
• Assisting with external audit processes and information requests
• Assisting with management/financial reporting

The ideal candidate will be experienced in performing the above accounts and payroll tasks. You will be comfortable in managing your workload to adhere to deadlines. Finally, you must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and an outgoing and customer-service orientated approach. Experience with finance systems (preferably large ERP's) would be well suited.
