We are currently seeking a Payroll Manager to join our close-knit team based in Winston Hills. Reporting to the Group HR Manager, this role is primarily responsible for the overall management of the Groups payroll function.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Lead the Payroll team with a focus on team culture & development
- Steer the maintenance & enhancements of current systems
- Manage the team’s responsibility for all monthly and weekly payroll and any out of cycle pay runs
- Processing end to end payroll for weekly and monthly employee’s
- Review payroll prior to Finance approval for all cycles
- Delivery of all payroll compliance requirements
- Understanding & ensuring the business needs are met from the payroll team
- Lead any change management and communication with the business
- Subject matter expert on payroll matters
- Ensure all weekly and monthly internal reporting are processed in a timely matter
- Ensure all statutory obligations are met in regards to payroll related taxes, superannuation, LSL ,Q-Leave & other deductions
- Respond to employee’s payroll related queries in a prompt and efficient manner
- Other duties as directed by management
The Ideal Candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Minimum 7 years’ payroll experience
- Prior experience leading a small team
- MicrOpay experience – highly regarded
- Ability to network & build collaborative relationships at all levels
- Be a team player with a passion for leadership
- Understanding of Taxation Laws about PAYG, Payroll Tax, Superannuation & LSL
- Understanding of Awards, Letters of Appointment, Certified Agreements, IR Legislation
- A strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Intermediate Excel/Word skills
