As the Payroll Manager, you play a pivotal role in ensuring the company's payroll processes run smoothly. You oversee all aspects of payroll operations, ensuring accurate processing of payments, deductions, and taxes in compliance with relevant awards and legislation. Your leadership extends to supervising a dedicated team, providing guidance, training, and evaluations. Payroll Manager
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of payroll operations including fortnightly and monthly payroll to ensure all processes are completed in a timely manner and deadlines are met with accuracy.
- Manage payroll audits and ensure accurate delivery of compliance activities, reports, and analysis.
- Oversee the review, update and testing of payroll, workforce management and award interpretation systems.
- Review and implement compliance changes to payroll processes and systems to ensure a best practice standard is maintained.
- Manage the preparation of all State and Federal tax obligations including PAYG tax, Payroll Tax, STP lodgments and Superannuation Guarantee contributions and WEGA report.
- Maintain Payroll training guidelines and update related company policies and procedures.
- Ensure the Payroll systems are compliant with statutory requirements and Award requirements.
- Prepare termination, redundancy and workers compensation calculations as required.
- Manage escalated queries regarding payroll.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in handling sensitive data.
- Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the role.
- Manage effectively a remote team of Payroll Specialist.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in payroll operations.
- In dept knowledge of Payroll Process, industry awards, and EA's
- A hands-on and proactive attitude to support, train and lead the remote payroll team.
- Proficient in using software tools like SAP, Excel, MyYOB.
- An analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international work environment with a passion for making an impact.
- Analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to engage with all levels of the business including developing strong relationships with HR, Operation, Finance, IT and international stakeholders.
- Happy to work 5 days on site.
