About The Role

About The Role
Reporting to our Finance Operations Manager you will be responsible for providing operational guidance and technical expertise to ensure compliance with Payroll related legislation and standards across OAC.
Other key responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for Preparing, balancing and reconciling PAYG tax and ensuring payments to employees and staff are made accurately and on time.
- Identify, build and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Responding to pay enquiries in a timely manner.
- Ensure confidentiality while completing all payroll and implement up to date information on changes to payroll and taxation legislation.
- Prepare management reports and undertake required statutory reporting. Review OAC current practice and develop and maintain payroll related organisational policy in line with strategic goals.
- Make recommendations to the CFO, Head of Financial Control and People & Culture on potential improvements and developments.
- Liaise with Head of People & Culture and Head of Workforce for end-to-end process improvements and other people related projects/programmes.
Ideally, you will have: - Minimum of 5years (or equivalent) demonstrated experience in a related or similar position.
- Strong Experience with payroll systems (iChris would be advantageous) and the implementation of new systems.
- Time & Attendance experience Ento, Riteq,Kronos or other relevant timesheet-based systems.
- Sound understanding of Industrial Awards and experience in interpretation and application.
- Knowledge of legislative requirements in respect to PAYG, FBT, payroll tax and EEO principles.
- Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes.
