Due to continuous growth, we are seeking a Payroll Officer to join the Human Resource & Payroll Team at Emerald Carrying Company (ECC). This position will be based at our Lytton site, Monday to Friday, with potential to Work from Home. This position would suit an applicant that has transferable skills and is seeking to further a career within the Human Resources Industry.
Reporting to our Group Human Resources Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Assist the HR team with the provision of payroll related information and ADHOC support as required.
- Providing accurate and timely payroll services including end-to-end volume payroll processing for the group, end of month payroll balancing & reporting, end of year payroll balancing & reporting including Single Touch Payroll reconciliation.
- Complete employment changes and requests such as new hires, terminations, adjustments and classifications changes.
- Respond to management and employees on payroll related queries.
- Maintain and update personnel data in our payroll database, to ensure systems reflect current information.
- Review employment contracts to ensure compliance with legislative requirements (Tax compliance, superannuation etc).
- Updating and maintaining Payroll and HR records including general administration, filing and archiving, ensuring confidentiality and privacy of files at all times.
- Conduct payroll audits to ensure accuracy of data and generating reports as required.

Qualifications & Attributes
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role highly desirable however not essential.
- Proven ability to interpret legislation and policy and provide advice and guidance to managers.
- Ability to develop relationships and maintain confidentiality within the team at all levels with the company.
- Highly organised with attention to detail and excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to communicate on all levels.
