The Opportunity
We are looking for a Payroll Officer to be responsible for the efficient processing of the organisation's pay runs and to observe the necessary legislation and organisational policies and procedures. You will maintain accurate and up to date payroll information pertaining to all Windarring employees across payroll and time and attendance systems.
The key element of this role is to support the wider finance team in smoothly rolling out fortnightly pay runs while being the first point of call for business teams relating to payroll concerns.
A bit about your background, skills, and experience:
- Demonstrated success in the development of relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience using Employment Hero and Xero.
- Experience with payroll delivery across multiple locations and industrial instruments.
- An understanding of and demonstrated commitment to principles of confidentiality and privacy.
- Knowledge of legislative requirements in respect of Payroll, PAYG, PLSL and superannuation.
- Sound understanding of Industrial Relations Legislation and ability to interpret Award/Enterprise Agreements.
- Ability to both extract data from Payroll Systems, analyse and report on findings.
- Strong problem-solving skills to ensure development of robust solutions to system functionality issues and gaps.
