My Client is a professional services based company and are on the lookout for a Payroll Officer on a temporary basis initially with a view to go permanent.
Key duties:
- Manage and process the fortnightly payroll of 1200 permanent employees and 800 casual as part of a team;
- Take control and maintain the payroll archives. This includes updating and maintaining employee records, change of employee conditions, salary sacrifice arrangements, and setting up of new start;
- Preparation of termination calculations for review;
- Workers Compensation and payroll tax reporting;
- Competence in interpretation of awards/agreements;
- Process quarterly Superannuation payments;
- Manage the payroll email inbox and act as the main contact for all payroll queries, responding to all queries in a timely manner; and
- Query handling.
The Successful Applicant:
- Previous full function payroll experience necessary;
- iChris experience essential;
- Basic level of excel skills;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Effective communication, organisational and time management skills;
- Ability to work autonomously and own projects;
- Analyse and process large volumes of data while maintaining a high level of accuracy and service;
- Work effectively to meet deadlines, both independently and as part of a close team; and
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
