about the company
The company is headquartered in Sydney and it is a financially-stable Group with multiple business entities. This role which is based in Adelaide would be hired under their outsourced payroll solutions business. It will be an initial contract for 3 to 6 months, with an option to convert to a permanent employee based on good work performance.
about the job
In this role you will be responsible for payroll with 5 to 6 different client entities, all of them within the healthcare industry. The estimated staff on payroll would be 500 to 700 headcount, and you will be running payroll on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis. As you are providing a suite of payroll services to clients, it would also include onboarding, termination, award in disability, SCHADS, calculation of encashment of long service leaves, etc. You would be communicating with clients mainly via email, and once you are in the role for a significant period of time the relationship with clients should evolve to communication over phone calls in addition to emails.
about the manager/team
This role reports to the Payroll Operations Manager, who is also based in Adelaide and always happy to provide training and guidance in the job. There are a team of 6 other Payroll Officers who handle other client portfolios within the organisation.
skills & requirements for the job
You must be experienced in large payroll, as well as the ability to process payroll on a very regular basis. Exposure in award disability and SCHADS is important. You should also possess good communication skills, attention to details and be a good team player.
