About the role
dollar curtains + blinds are seeking a part time Payroll Officer to join our team. This is a part-time role that would suit a working parent. 3 days is preferred (Tue-Thur) 9-4.30pm/5.00pm. You will be responsible for managing a weekly end to end payroll and various other responsibilities below.
Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end payroll for all employees
- Proven experience interpreting and applying employment related agreements and awards, policies, and procedures, to payroll related matters including salary, leave entitlements and conditions.
- Demonstrated experience applying numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills to payroll related calculations with an emphasis on accuracy.
- Accurately calculate and process the payroll using timesheets imported from different systems, ESS leave reports, allowances, authorised deductions etc. in accordance with policies, procedures, regulations, contracts, award applications and legislative requirements.
- Reviewing the timesheets in Biotime.
- Manage and maintain Micropay, Connx and Biotime systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, Awards, tax regulations, and superannuation requirements.
- Processing Payroll journals, generating payroll reports and reconciling accounts, reports.
- Processing super monthly through clearing house
- Year-end Payroll • Managing workers compensation.
- Record keeping and administration of payroll function.
- Assist Accounts/Finance team when needed.
- Complete general administrative duties and day-to-day operations at Senior Management request.
- Ad-hoc work as requested by the Financial Controller and GM
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will have at least 2 years experience processing pay in a similar end-to-end Payroll Officer position. Additionally, they will be system and process driven. Most importantly, they will work well under pressure, successfully meet deadlines, have strong attention to detail and communication skills.
