For a Payroll Officer to join the team at IntoWork Australia. You will be joining a highly experienced Payroll team supporting the IntoWork Group of businesses.

IntoWork Australia has become a trusted partner providing contracted services on behalf of Commonwealth, State and Local governments, whilst providing other services directly with employers, industry, and individuals on a fee for service basis.

The Role:
The Payroll Officer is responsible for providing accurate, timely, and efficient payroll services to IntoWork Australia's group entities.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Officer will be required to work effectively and collaboratively with the Payroll team to ensure all payroll-designated timeframes are met in accordance with relevant awards, agreements, taxation and other legislation.
This full-time, permanent role can be based in Northcote, VIC, Forrestfield, WA or QLD with hybrid working arrangements available.
Duties include:
- Assisting in ensuring that weekly or fortnightly pays and pay slips are processed accurately and in a timely fashion
- Acting as the key contact point for Apprentices, Trainee and Labour Hire enquiries and correspondence.
- Identifying and implementing improvements to payroll systems, controls, and processes
- Ensuring the general administrative requirements of the designated entities are in order
- Actively contributing to fostering a positive, safe and supportive culture and environment
- Updating and maintaining employee payroll records in the payroll system, while ensuring the accuracy of all payroll data
- Reconciliation and payment of Superannuation, Workcover, PAYG, and all relevant statutory requirements.
- Assisting Senior Payroll Officer with EOFY activities
About You:
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate the following:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role, with formal qualifications in Payroll, Cert IV Bookkeeping/Finance and/or Business Admin
- Payroll experience in a labour hire or Group Training Company will be advantageous
- Experience working in a large Payroll team, across multiple states
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to analyse problems and present solutions to complex issues
- Proficiency in cloud-based Payroll systems, with working knowledge of Workforce 1, FastTrack and Kayako Ticketing considered advantageous
- Strong Excel skills including Pivot tables & VLOOKUPs
- Microsoft Suit
