Payroll Officer

My Medical industry client has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team based in the leafy Eastern Suburbs office. This is a permanent, full time position with an immediate start, working typical office hours with flexibility to work from home after the initial induction period. Part time (4 days a week) would also be considered for the ideal candidate.

Ideally you will have experience with the end to end payroll process and familiar wih Kronos and Preceda systems. This well recognised organisation offers a very competitive salary package and a friendly and collaborative work environment. They offer a hybrid model of working when needed, and as such are searching for someone with great communication and technical skills.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

• The ability to manage the set-up of all new employees; ensuring receipt of executed employment contracts, new starter forms, tax declaration forms, and superannuation forms
• Assisting with the process of end-to-end fortnightly payroll runs
• Calculating and completing the periodic payment of salaries and wages for employees
• Ensuring accuracy and completeness of data and coding, and on-time delivery in accordance with the I-MED payroll schedule
• Leave reconciliations
• Manage the payroll records of terminated/departed employees in accordance with legislation
• Providing high level administration support to the business
• The ability to work to tight deadlines

The ideal candidate would have:

• 3+ years end to end payroll experience in a medium to large company, including exposure to and an understanding of awards and EAs
• High attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• A great attitude and the willingness to learn
• Moderate excel skills
• The ability to work autonomously along with supportive team player qualities
• Experience working with Preceda and Kronos is highly regarded but not essential
