About the Role – Payroll Officer
- Reference number 50
- General Officer Level 4: $88,392.79 - $94,796.91 plus superannuation
- Part time (0.8 FTE), Permanent
Be responsible for:
- Processing Council’s end to end fortnightly payroll.
- Administering month and year end payroll reporting.
- Facilitating and administering Worker’s Compensation, Income Protection and Journey Accident claim payments.
- Ensuring there is a continuous improvement approach and ongoing review of payroll processes.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Significant payroll experience in medium to large complex organisation, with Local Government experience favourable.
- Significant experience using payroll systems, with Open Office experience favourable.
- A demonstrated understanding of Awards, Enterprise Agreements, relevant legislation, and statutory requirements.
- Proven ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks and uphold confidentiality.
A valid National Police Certificate which is satisfactory to the Council’s requirements will be required before the successful applicant can commence in this position.
