About the Role – Payroll Officer

  • Reference number 50
  • General Officer Level 4: $88,392.79 - $94,796.91 plus superannuation
  • Part time (0.8 FTE), Permanent

Be responsible for:

  • Processing Council’s end to end fortnightly payroll.
  • Administering month and year end payroll reporting.
  • Facilitating and administering Worker’s Compensation, Income Protection and Journey Accident claim payments.
  • Ensuring there is a continuous improvement approach and ongoing review of payroll processes.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Significant payroll experience in medium to large complex organisation, with Local Government experience favourable.
  • Significant experience using payroll systems, with Open Office experience favourable. 
  • A demonstrated understanding of Awards, Enterprise Agreements, relevant legislation, and statutory requirements. 
  • Proven ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks and uphold confidentiality.

A valid National Police Certificate which is satisfactory to the Council’s requirements will be required before the successful applicant can commence in this position.
