An opportunity is available for an experienced Payroll Officer to join this close knit payroll team for a 6 month contract.Reporting to the Payroll Manager and working in a close-knit team with a great vibe, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Processing payroll on a fortnightly basis and participating in end of month procedures
- Processing tax, superannuation and other entitlements including leave, WorkCover and termination payments
- Respond to payroll queries from employees and managers in a professional manner
- Interpret and provide accurate advice regarding awards and enterprise agreements
- Preparing and distributing reports to managers
- You will be an experienced Payroll Officer who's worked in a medium or large business (experience with Aurion would be preferred but is not essential)
- You will have great attention to details, the ability to meet deadlines and enjoy working in a structured, fast-paced environment
- With a solutions focused approach, you will enjoy investigating and resolving problems
- You will be a people person - confident and comfortable dealing with people
- You will be able to adapt to a growing and changing environment and willing to roll up your sleeves when needed
- You will be a genuinely nice human being!
