Reporting to the General Manager People & Culture, the P&C Business Partner is one of two, together working with the broader People & Culture team (including specialists in Learning & Development, Safety & Health & Wellbeing, Talent, and P&C Administration), on developing and building people initiatives and implementing a range of people priorities for all employees across retail operations, the distribution centre, and the store support centre.Primary responsibilities include contribution to the engagement and growth of the business, coaching leaders to drive high performance, supporting change, providing advice on simple to complex employee relations and workplace legislation, delivering on cyclical people processes, guidance on policy and procedure, developing and implementing a performance framework, and HR data maintenance and reporting.This position also plays an integral role in the business transformation programs, supporting project teams from a people perspective to enable the business to use data and insights to help inform and drive key people decisions.The Ideal Candidate
Driving the P&C strategy through leading effective and business-focused P&C services to designated client groups, the ability to build strong relationships, quickly gaining trust and credibility through demonstrated experience and ability to deliver will be critical. In addition, you will bring:
- Depth and breadth in Business Partnering and management of cyclical HR processes, ideally within a fast-paced retail or customer service environment, however this industry experience is not essential.
- Exposure to distribution centres and/or working with employees in New Zealand will be highly regarded.
- Experience in coaching and guiding senior leaders.
- Strong understanding of industrial instruments and key compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Strength in influencing, presenting ideas, perspectives, and challenging the status quo.
- Able to genuinely connect and display empathy.
- Comfortable to work in Dandenong South from Monday to Wednesday each week, and flexibly Thursday to Friday.
