The Human Resources (HR) Business Partner position will provide HR support and leadership in a range of the areas:
- Attraction and retention of the talent at Y Geelong,
- Lead the staff engagement, staff rewards and recognition program,
- Conduct and ensure staff Induction module is contemporary and delivered in an inclusive manner,
- Safeguarding Children and Young People (SCYP) support as per the Y Safeguarding Framework and Action Plan
- Corporate services administration functions such as implementation management software.
Availability: 4 days per week 9.00am - 5.00pm between Monday and Friday. One day per week on a regular basis the hours per week will be 9.30am - 5.30pm
About the Role
- Work with Centre’s leadership teams to develop a trigger point system for staff recruitment to ensure we are prepared in advance.
- Oversee the organisational HR policies and processes in relation to recruitment, induction, probation periods, through to conclusion of employment.
- Implementation of pulse /annual employee engagement surveys to understand the voice of the employees
- Undertake special projects as required such as the co-ordination of Staff and Volunteer Awards event, Christmas events.

The Y Geelong Board and Management are committed to the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in accordance with our Safeguarding Children and Young People framework. All applicants must undergo satisfactory screening prior to commencement, including but not limited to:
a national criminal history check (processed and paid for by the Y Geelong)
an international criminal history check where applicants have worked overseas;
