About the Role
Reporting to the Executive Manager People and Culture and working as part of a small, dedicated team, the People and Culture Business Partner is responsible for building effective and credible relationships to ensure the successful management of both day-to-day operational HR matters and delivery of strategic talent management projects and initiatives across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide guidance on workforce planning, talent management, and organisational development initiatives
- Provide advice, mentoring and coaching to line managers on industrial relations, grievance handling/dispute resolution, disciplinary and performance management issues
- Collaborate with line managers to develop solutions in relation to effective people management and leadership, providing the tools and guidance to build leadership capability
- Provide oversight of the recruitment and onboarding process to ensure a positive candidate experience and support in the development of strategies to attract and retain top talent
- Identify learning needs and opportunities for professional growth and support career development and succession planning initiatives
- Use HR data to make informed decisions, create reports on key metrics, and find trends to support continuous improvement
- Create, update and review HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and to promote a fair and consistent work environment
About You
- Previous experience working as a HR generalist with demonstrated experience in issues management and investigations, including the implementation of solutions to resolve conflict and underperformance issues.
- An understanding of contemporary HR strategies, methodologies, tools and trends
- Experience in providing advice to line managers with regards to interpretation of employment legislation and awards, coupled with an understanding of Workers' Compensation and injury management processes to support employee well-being and organisational productivity
- Proven ability to build positive relationships and consult, negotiate and communicate with all levels across an organisation
- Ability to identify and progress change initiatives and support others in an environment of change
- Strong organisational, planning and coordination skills with an ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to deliver reports and written information that is accurate, timely and professionally presented
A proven ability to influence and foster a positive and productive organisational culture is essential, as is the ability to work autonomously but collaboratively with the wider People and Culture team.
This is a full-time role, but we're open to discussing part-time options if preferred.
