We currently have a new opportunity for a People & Culture Manager to join us in our Corporate Business Services Team, for a Maternity Leave Contractof approx. 6 months. This opportunity based at our head office in Balcatta.
What you’ll be doing
In this standalone human resource role you will be supporting the entire business, the People & Culture Manager will be responsible for:
- Ensure effective human resource services are provided to business managers and employees, including accurate and timely advice on People and Culture matters.
- Provide relevant, timely and accurate management reports on people issues.
- Plan and carry out end-to-end recruitment and selection processes.
- Prepare employment contracts and all other related documentation in compliance with internal and statutory requirements.
- Support new employee on-boarding, set-up, and related administration.
- Support all elements of the performance management process including KPI setting, coordinating review processes, system training and advising employees and managers.
- Implement effective employee feedback processes and ensure actions are followed up, with communication flowing back to employees.
- Ensure that the Board-approved remuneration structure is appropriately communicated within the business.
- Ensure remuneration processes are applied in an accurate and timely manner (including job evaluations, salary reviews, incentive plans).
- Ensure HR policies, standards and procedures that comply with current legislation.
What you’ll bring to the team
To succeed in this role, you will be a seasoned human resource professional, a self-starter with the ability to take ownership of your responsibilities. You must be comfortable communicating to an executive team and managing important compliance related administrative duties. You will hold a relevant tertiary qualification (E.g., human resources, commerce majoring in HR, Psychology or equivalent) with CPHR or CAHRI certification highly desirable.

- Development of human resource and organisation development strategies aligned to business plans.
- Strong understanding of contemporary human resources practices.
- Working knowledge of Australian employment legislation.
- Understanding of Northern American employment legislation is desirable.
- Strong influencing capability.
- Project management and execution capability.
- Commercial awareness.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Exposure to the Engineering, Defence and Manufacturing Industries will be highly desirable.
