About the Opportunity

The People and Culture Advisor will provide a business focused operational People and Culture service, providing advice and support to employees and managers on People and Culture related matters. Through engagement with specialist functions within the wider People and Culture function this role will support the development and implementation of initiatives that may form part of the business people plans and/or feed into the overall People and Culture strategy.

Responsibilities

Reporting to and supported by the People and Culture Business Partnering Manager, the primary focus of this role is to provide People and Culture related guidance and support to the employees and managers across the business including; performance management, succession planning, employment management, on boarding, retention, career development, learning and development, and organisational culture

The People and Culture Advisor will take responsibility for developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to successfully support the People and Culture Business Partners with the delivery of the l People Plan.

About you 

People and Culture related tertiary qualifications or Diploma (desirable)

  • Strong generalist People &Culture experience and knowledge
  • Industrial/ Employee relations
  • Understanding of relevant industrial instruments (i.e. National Employment Standards, Fair Work Act, Enterprise Agreements, etc.)
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to effectively resolve issues
  • Ability to manage employee performance management matters, grievances and coach leaders through resolutions
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to influence applicable internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience working in a diverse environment with teams located in alternative States
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrable high EQ

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.
