The OpportunityJoining the People, Culture and Change Team, you'll take on the pivotal role of People,
Culture & Change Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to provide expert advice and strategic direction on employee matters.Working closely with the wider business and reporting into the well respected Head of People, Culture and Change, you'll support Line Leaders across a diverse portfolio of approximately 350 employees, spanning VIC, SA, and WA.As a generalist, you'll handle all HR operational matters, including employee relations/industrial relations, annual activities, leadership coaching, and involvement in strategic people projects. You'll also collaborate with the ER team on managing employee-relations matters, workplace investigations, disciplinary management, and complex compensation cases, ensuring productivity and minimising legal risk.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead EBA negotiations and collaborate with site leaders on bargaining strategies, addressing challenges, and fostering a positive culture.
- Drive initiatives to address culture, absenteeism, and promote diversity and inclusion within the existing framework.
- Collaborate with mature site leadership teams to encourage innovative thinking and skill development.
- Skilfully manage EA’s across the business, including complex agreements in the supply chain sector.
- Navigate blue-collar, unionised environments with confidence, adept at handling tough situations.
- Conduct end-to-end investigations.
- Embrace ambiguity and maintain visibility with leaders across the business.
To be successful in this role you will bring:
- Proven experience in ER/IR, with a track record of leading successful EBA negotiations.
- Comfortable engaging with leaders, adept at problem-solving and tactical discussions.
- Familiarity with blue-collar industries such as construction, distribution, manufacturing, and FMCG.
- Ability to push back when necessary and navigate challenging union environments.
- Strong investigative skills, capable of managing complex cases from start to finish.
