RiverCity Ferries is a subsidiary of Kelsian Group Limited, contracted to operate and maintain the Brisbane City Council’s Ferry fleet with associated infrastructure. The network of 26 terminals is serviced by 30 vessels over a 20km stretch of the Brisbane River, moving over 5 million passengers a year. A Maintenance Facility at Rivergate Marina, together with an Operation Base at Hawthorne form the primary places maintenance is performed.

As the People and Culture Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing our workplace environment. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing HR strategies, managing employee relations & training, and fostering a culture that aligns with RiverCity Ferries' values.
About You
The successful applicant must possess:
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in HR management, with a focus on culture development.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of the organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to drive HR initiatives that contribute to organisational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute HR strategies that support organisational goals and objectives.
- Implement effective talent acquisition and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent.
- Lead the Learning and Development Department with one direct report
- Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and overall well-being.
- Manage employee relations, addressing concerns, and promoting a positive work environment.
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure alignment of HR practices with business objectives.
- Design and implement professional development programs to nurture employee growth.
- Oversee performance management processes and guide managers and employees.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
