Position Purpose

As a key part of our Aviation Security division we are currently sourcing a Performance Coordinator to join our team, based at Sydney Airport. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Coordinator to ensure staff deliver a consistent performance to meet client expectations and regulatory compliance. In this role you will have the opportunity to develop and grow professionally and personally with a team who focuses on promoting from within.

This is a hands-on role where you will be working closely with the team to provide direction and opportunities for continuous improvement and best practice customer service. This includes:

• Have a strong presence in the day-to-day operations of terminals, with a hands-on approach focusing on improvement in frontline culture and teamwork and driving consistency in staff performance.
• Motivate, encourage, and advise staff to achieve smooth operations and excellent customer service.
• Ensure full coverage of the roster to meet operational expectations.
• Set high expectations of all operational staff and supervisors, emphasising the focus on Aviation Security and best practice.
• Work effectively with internal and external partners such as peers, staff groups, senior management, and external vendors and suppliers to accomplish goals.
• Assist in staff performance management including investigations into incidents and events where required.
• Provide input into resource demand planning and coordinate leave management ensuring timely approval of leave and ensuring adequate backfilling of critical roles.

• Ability to obtain and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
• Demonstrated experience managing teams, preferably in a customer facing environment.
• Prior Aviation security experience highly regarded.
• Experience in managing conflict, people performance and strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to message to different stakeholders (employees, internal, customer, external)
• Degree qualified in Security, Management or similar field.
