The Tea Centre is Australia's leading provider of Quality Tea, with a large online store & 10 retail storefronts across QLD, NSW, and ACT. We are searching for a Personal Assistant to assist in day-to-day tasks and administration, sitting under our General Manager. This role is based in our South Brisbane warehouse & head office, a 30 minute commute from the CBD.
As Personal Assistant, you will be providing efficient, professional and all-round support to the General manager & wider team, anticipating their needs to ensure operational efficiencies are met, and assisting with ad hoc tasks as they arise. This role is hybrid in nature and will involve a combination of administrative and hands-on tasks, as well as assisting in the maintenance of our warehouse operation.
Responsibilities of the role;
- Providing general administrative and office support to the team and business, primarily directed by the General Manager
- Assisting the improvement of operational management systems, relating directly to inventory management, warehouse processes and best practices
- Ensuring all store & warehouse operations are continually optimized in a cost-effective way
- Performing quality controls and monitor production KPIs
- Tracking staffing requirements and hiring new employees as needed
- Assigning roles and tasks to team members based on their individual strengths and abilities
- Occasionally assisting in product fulfilment requests (for example, order packing for wholesale customers or helping assemble stock transfers from our warehouse to our retail stores)
- Serving as a point of communication between company teams and external resources, including suppliers and customers
To note, there will be some initial planning and structure given to both the short and term long goals of the business, with a focus on incremental development and the overall improvement of business fundamentals. Our ideal candidate has the following;
- Proficiency in technology
- Knowledge & experience in inventory management
- Experience in retail operations (not required, but would be a bonus)
- Experience implementing policies & procedures
- Organised and confident in decision making and promotes a culture of high performance and continuous process and system improvement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills – must possess a high level of attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Drivers license
