This position has high level clinical, educational and organisational service provision and supports both the pharmacy team and other multidisciplinary clinicians. Accessible to clinicians across the organisation, the role will provide high-level advice, guidance and intervention in regard to safe and effective antimicrobial use. The position will contribute to the monitoring the use of antimicrobials across the HHS and utilising an innovative, collaborative approach to facilitate quality improvement in the use of antimicrobials, minimising the risk of high-risk agents and optimising patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Delivery of high level clinical pharmacy services within the SCHHS to stakeholders/ customers of Queensland Health.
- Providing high level pharmacy services, with expertise in the area of management of patients who require antimicrobial therapy,
- Working with a complex and varied workload whilst maintaining a high degree of independence and initiative.
- Developing service improvements whilst maintaining and promoting best practice care to patients across the HHS.
