The Role & Responsibilities:
The Pharmacy Business Advisor (PBA) is a key role in the Member Engagement Team and is responsible for the successful execution of Independent Pharmacies of Australia (IPA) pharmacy brand strategies and standards. Its purpose is to develop and maintain meaningful relationships by providing consistent support and leadership to members and their teams, implementing IPA programs and services that drive member growth and deliver on IPA and member imperatives.
The key outcomes of this role include:
- Create strategies to improve pharmacy team capabilities and store operations
- Commercialise all opportunities available to help pharmacies build profitable and sustainable businesses
- Develop a strong understanding of each pharmacy and their local market to offer tailored business solutions and maximise their member benefits
- Engage with Marketing and Merchandise teams to empower members to compete effectively in their local market and maximise sales and income streams

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 3 years + experience managing a medium to large team in retail, pharmacy and/or franchise environment
- Excellent leadership, communication and influencing skills
- Strong understanding of retail KPI's
- Attention to detail to monitor standards and performance
- Well-developed business/financial acumen
- Ability to interact with and most importantly engage with all levels of management from store to executive level
- Ability to undertake a regular mix of metro and regional travel when required
