About the Role
Given that this is a new position, there is a good level of autonomy and opportunity for this role to refresh our approach to Business Resilience at icare. This role will have the support from senior leadership across icare to implement ideas to uplift icare's maturity in Business Continuity management (BCM) including incident and crisis management.
This role will have direct access to all parts of icare's business including the various insurance schemes and key third parties to create new ways of working related to business resilience. Additionally, this role will be supported by specialists in physical & cyber security, privacy & fraud, and disaster recovery (DR) to anticipate, respond and recovery from incidents.
In addition, this role will have opportunities to redesign technology and tools to innovate how both operational and strategic levels at icare approach business resilience.

Duties
It's an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; in this role you will:
- Support key stakeholders across the organisation so they are empowered and proactive throughout the Business Continuity lifecycle from analysis and planning through to testing and review.
- Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders across insurance schemes, procurement, finance, legal and risk and governance and become a reliable subject matter expert on business resilience.
- Propose new ways of working and seek out opportunities that will uplift icare's business resilience
- Raise the agenda and value of business resilience across icare through interactive workshops, training exercises and scenario simulations.
- Support key stakeholders in cyber security, data & analytics, procurement and business owners across icare to achieve more holistic third-party supply chain resilience.
- Drive innovation of BCM through digital transformation of existing technology, tools and methodologies to create data-driven insights and end-user friendly processes.
Skills & Experience
- Relevant, recent experience in a similar role, ideally in the government sector or financial services industry.
- Proven hands-on experience in organisational resilience, Business Continuity, operational risk, crisis management or emergency planning.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, experienced in facilitating online and face-to-face training with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- Technical skills and experience with creating, adopting or leading Business Continuity solutions in a Line 1 or 2 risk function are highly advantageous.
