St Anna’s Residential Care and Home Care is an NFP organisation; we provide care for 60 residents in a residential setting and support for clients in the community. Our philosophy is centred on promoting optimum health, opportunities for growth and enhancing quality of life. Our residents and clients have individual needs that change over time due to illness, disease health and ageing. Our staff strive to address these changing needs, enlisting flexible care services and empowering the residents with informed options and supported decision-making.
An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic, motivated Physiotherapist to join our team working across the residential facility and with our clients receiving care in the home.
About the Role
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments in both residential and community settings.
- Work with residents/ clients to learn about injuries or identify health concerns and create a plan for treatment or management.
- Provide residents/clients with tips to improve their lifestyle, including exercise plans and stretches.
- Offer support and guidance to family members and relay treatment information while adhering to confidentiality.
- Liaise with local clinical services, such as GP practices and mental health services, and refer residents as required.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Bachelor of Physiotherapy (or equivalent).
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulations Agency (AHPRA).
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build and maintain rapport with residents and their families.
- Tolerance and patience.
- Drivers License
