Qualifications & experience
- This position is only open to candidates who currently possess unrestricted rights to work in Australia.
- Have completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy or Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours). Alternatively, have completed a science-based tertiary qualification with two-year master's degree in physiotherapy.
- Proven 3 years of preferential experience managing Occupational Medicine cases as a minimum: RTW, fitness for duties assessment, functional pre-employment, & early intervention rehabilitation.
- Must have current AHPRA registration and SIRA accreditation.
- Current CPR / First Aid Certificate and immunisation record certificate (including COVID-19).
- Clear knowledge of the role of an independent incorporated provider for trading purposes.
- Annual completion of Continued Professional Development (CPD).
Tasks & responsibilities
- Assessment, diagnosis and early intervention management of a wide range of work-related injuries.
- Work with clients and health professionals to design an appropriate rehabilitation program that facilitate injury recovery within optimal time frames.
- Pursuing client satisfaction by means of timely documentation and communication among involved parties.
- Professional must be confident in managing initial assessments via telemedicine when appropriate and necessary.
- Report functional capacity for injured workers, fitness for duties assessments and pre-employment candidates.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records to assist continuity of care.
