The Opportunity
The full time PIC Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the management of the PIC Maintenance Teams and, on occasion, contractors. Ensuring the efficient and effective execution of building and renovation projects for the company's facilities and equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a background in maintenance management, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
The position will be based in Grong Grong, NSW with travel to Roseworthy, SA when required.

Reporting to the Production and Technical Manager, some key responsibilities will include:
- Oversee daily maintenance projects and activities, ensuring planning, organisation, training, and oversight
- Supervise, support and evaluate maintenance employees and contractors to ensure effective and timely task completion
- Plan and execute repairs promptly, coordinating work activities with other departments
- Inspect equipment failures, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with Site Managers for long-term farm improvements
- Manage parts and materials procurement, including pricing, purchase orders, and delivery
- Develop, maintain, and implement training for maintenance employees to enhance skills and knowledge
- As a hands-on role, complete and participate in daily work routines, jobs and projects in accordance site’s needs and priorities
Who We Are Looking For
SunPork has established an efficient, highly skilled yet diversified team that is dedicated to producing high quality, sustainable welfare-optimal products.
As a key member of this team, the successful applicant must have:
- A strong understanding of maintenance practices, and demonstrated ability in diagnosing and rectifying mechanical faults
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team while maintaining a safe work environment with a commitment to training and professional development
- Working knowledge of building and construction, plumbing, carpentry, and welding
- Possession of a valid driver's license
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and other company software, for ordering materials and internal and external communication
- Demonstrated initiative, strong attention to detail, and effective time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate via email to keep your manager and work colleagues informed, and stay connected with all company staff and activities
- Willingness to work some weekends and public holidays as scheduled, and be available for "on-call events" if required
- Physical fitness and ability to handle the physical demands of the role, including working with animals and manual handling tasks such as lifting
