About the role
The Place Liaison Officer helps maintain good relations between organisations and members of the community with a particular focus on the Parramatta Square and Centenary Square precinct. This is done by working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders including commercial tenants, young people, rough sleepers and other community members within the Parramatta Square and Centenary Square Public Domain.
The Place Liaison Officer engages with individuals experiencing homelessness in these areas, connecting them with services and pathways to exit homelessness. Responsible for liaising with vulnerable people who have complex and challenging needs, you will aim to reduce homelessness, improve public amenity, and decrease anti-social behaviour.
Additionally, the Place Liaison Officer coordinates with internal staff regarding cleansing and maintenance services and supports the efforts of the Parramatta Square Place Manager.
About You
We are seeking an individual who is proactive, able to ‘think on their feet’ and work with a variety of situations, individuals, and groups. A Class 1A Security Licence or equivalent is desirable.
Additionally you will:
- Adapt and respond positively to change, managing customer needs promptly and professionally.
- Bring experience in the provision of professional, timely and customer focussed service.
- Build and nurture strong, productive relationships with various stakeholders.
- Bring demonstrated experience in engaging vulnerable people with complex needs including substance use, mental illness, intellectual disability or traumatic backgrounds.

We are offering an attractive remuneration from $101,563 plus 11.5% superannuation.
