As a result of our continued growth and over $1 billion of work-in-hand, Georgiou have opportunities for an experienced Planner / Planning Engineer to join our building team. The successful candidate will display strong technical skills in all elements of civil engineering particularly within a Commercial Building environment.
What you're good at:
* Demonstrated experience working as a Planning Engineer / planner in the construction industry within a Commercial Building environment.
* Reviewing construction drawings and specifications to develop a strong understanding of the project scope, task durations and project deadlines
* Liaising with management to determine the sequencing required to complete the project scope and relating this information into a chronological list of activities
* Developing and maintaining project schedules in Primavera (Contractor or Project Management modules) for tender proposals in line with Georgiou standards and requirements
* Enhancing schedules prepared during the tender phase for awarded projects (up to level 5 detail when necessary including but not limited to resourcing man hours and quantities) and handing over to the Project Manager prior to commencement of the project
* Assisting project teams with the training and development of personnel in regard to planning and scheduling as required environment.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Solid communication skills
* A high level of organisation and time management skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Confidence to report on all aspects of the project stages
You will also be able to demonstrate working knowledge of the following project planning software:
* MS Project
* Primavera
* Pertmaster (desirable)
* Microsoft Office (Including Word, Excel and Outlook
