Job description
EA Legal is seeking a 2 to 6 PQE lawyer with experience (or a keen interest in) environment and
planning matters to join us as an associate. This role is envisaged to develop into a Senior Associate
position.
In the role you will have direct client facing exposure. This role is excellent for a person seeking to be
challenged with complex litigation and advisory matters.
The role is split between general litigation (with a blend of administrative, commercial and construction
law) and planning law.
Reporting directly to partnership, you will be involved in complex and high-profile litigation as well as
advising on some of Sydney’s largest planning projects.

Experience and Skills Required
Between 2 to 6 years post admission experience. Experience with environment & planning law is
preferred – or other relevant experience including general litigation or administrative law experience.
A keen academic interest in the law and particularly dealing with complex litigation and advisory work.
A sound understanding of the planning framework in New South Wales and the litigation processes of
the NSW Land and Environment Court and the NSW Supreme Court.
Key Responsibilities
Providing support to litigation in the NSW Supreme Court & NSW Land and Environment Court.
Advising on the front-end of planning matters, including briefing counsel and experts on planning
proposals and DAs and providing advice on issues relating to planning law.
