Are you an experienced leader ready to take on a rewarding Health Service Planning role in the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network?
The Southern Area Health Direction has been developed to better meet consumer and community expectations and address the current and future demand and needs for healthcare in the southern region, recognising the demographic, technological, social and infrastructure challenges facing SALHN. The Direction is a combination of clinical Service Planning with SALHN staff, consumers and community, along with an infrastructure renewal strategy and plan across SALHN.
About the Role:
As the Planning Lead for SALHN Health Service Planning, your duties may include:
- Providing expert advice, leadership, strategic direction, and operational management to design, establish, implement, and evaluate the current and future demand and needs for healthcare in the southern region.
- Responsible for strategic oversight of the Health Service Planning Team and is accountable for the program deliverables, new strategic integrated and consistent services
- Ensuring that clinical Service Planning and operational delivery is in line with the Health Service Plan, the Local Area Needs Assessment, SALHN's Strategic Direction and SA Health clinical Service Planning
- Developing and establishing an Integrated Planning Function within SALHN, which links with the Integrated Management System and the Excellence Framework
- Supporting the translation of planning into operational service delivery and improvements and incorporating accountability to service delivery plans across the organisation
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience as a leader or manager in the health care industry.
- Demonstrated health planning experience which demonstrates a clear understanding of the operations of health organisations and future directions in Health Services including key operational relationships.
- Experience in identifying opportunities for development/re-development of models of care, as well as investment/ disinvestment/reinvestment options for change.
- Extensive experience in the provision of high quality advice (including briefings, reports and formal correspondence) for internal and external use, including to ministerial and senior executive level.
This is a single vacancy, with three possible appointment classifications. The successful applicants will be appointed in the position appropriate to their skills, qualifications, and experience.
