Form of work12 Month Opportunity for a Planning Support Officer in Brisbane
Your new company:Hays has partnered with a large State Government Agency. This is an opportunity to join the agency on an initial 12-month contract based in the Brisbane CBD.
Your new role:As the Planning Support Officer, you will provide advisory and executive support to the Director of Service Strategy to assist in meeting the strategic and operational goals of the Infrastructure Services Division. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:Examine correspondence, information, and briefing/cabinet requests.Determine where action is needed.Investigate sensitive and confidential matters.Advise on policy issues and projects.Assist in preparing briefs for senior officials.Monitor progress of correspondence, cabinet requests, and reports.
Ensure adherence to timeframes.Address important issues.Retrieve information from electronic and paper records.Maintain relevant data from departmental systems.Optimise resource utilisation.Assist in policy implementation and maintenance.Ensure effective delivery of infrastructure master planning projects.
What you'll need to succeed:
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at a level designated by the Agency on request
The ability to obtain and maintain national police checks.
Demonstrated experience supporting the development of formal correspondence and documents.
Demonstrated experience of supporting multidisciplinary teams in strategic initiatives and achieving successful project outcomes within an infrastructure service delivery environment.
Demonstrated experience in preparing, monitoring, evaluating and reporting on programs and projects; and ‘managing up’ in order to ensure the key stakeholders remain informed, are proactively alerted to potential issues and risks.
