About The Opportunity
Your role as a Planning Technical Officer will include delivering planning advice and assessments for various development matters. You will provide advice to developers, consultants, internal stakeholders, and the public on planning, land use, and development issues, handling public inquiries, and conducting timely assessments of development requests to meet statutory and council standards. You will also be responsible for permits, street naming requests, preparing Planning and Development Certificates, conducting Property Search investigations, and assisting in the development of internal planning overviews and compliance advice.
About You
- Demonstrated experience in local government town planning, development assessment or equivalent
- Proven experience in undertaking assessment of development-related matters or similar
- Working knowledge of the Planning Act 2016 and related legislation
- Current Drivers Licence
- Diploma of Local Government (Planning) advantageous
