Reporting to the Performance Improvement and Project Manager the Plant Maintenance Coordinator’s role focus on the coordination of maintenance activities across our Woodend and Maryborough sites.
A day in the life of the Plant Maintenance Coordinator at Barker Trailers
- Coordinate scheduled safety audits – EWP’s, Ladders, Harnesses, Forklift and Scissor Lifts.
- Coordinate the movement of machinery and equipment deliveries, and pickups.
- Ensuring employees and contractors understand and comply with HSE working procedures.
- Under the guidance of the Performance Improvement & Project Manager, support daily maintenance tasks.
- Planning, scheduling, and overseeing all fixed Plant Maintenance activities for Woodend and Maryborough site, including infrastructure and equipment.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, malfunctions, and emergencies to minimise downtime and maintain safe operation in production.
- Identify cost saving opportunities.
- Assist with audits and HSE compliance.
- Managing the logistics and execution of fixed plant shutdown activities.
- Coordination of fixed plant mechanical maintenance with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
We are looking for a person who has:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working within a Maintenance Supervisor or Coordinator role or similar.
- Mechanical qualification (desirable)
- Experience working in the manufacturing/construction industry.
- Experience in detailed scoping and maintenance planning for multi-disciplined workgroups operating in a Fixed Plant Maintenance environment is preferred.
- Strong experience around asset maintenance
- Safety leadership
- Strong communication and relationship building skills.
- Extensive experience in fixed plant and shutdown maintenance or equivalent industry experience
